📋 Screen Overview
The TeraCalc1_Traditional Analysis Tab performs advanced 5-tier ABC analysis derived from conventional logistics calculations. It evaluates shipping records from two independent perspectives: by Item SKU and by Customer Destination.
- Traditional Calculation: 5-stage ABC segmentation (A1, A2, B, C, D) based on cumulative distribution ratios.
- Item Analysis: Classifies SKUs by shipping volume to highlight high-priority inventory.
- Customer Analysis: Categorizes destinations by order volume to identify top accounts.
- Metric Granularity: Displays SKU/Customer counts, Order Lines, Piece units, Converted Cases, Pallets, Volume (m³), and Weight (kg).
- EIQ Cross-Reference: Compares macro distribution with EIQ Matrix results for multi-faceted logistics insights.

🔬 Concept of Traditional Analysis
Evolution from Standard ABC Analysis
Devised by **Toshiyuki Teramoto** of the Logistics Technology Institute, this method refines standard 3-tier ABC analysis into **5 granular tiers (A1, A2, B, C, D)** to match EIQ analysis classifications.
This finer granularity provides deeper operational insights while maintaining backwards compatibility with traditional ABC reporting.
Comparison with Standard ABC
Standard ABC (3 Tiers)
| Rank | Cumulative % | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| A | 0 - 70% | High Importance |
| B | 70 - 90% | Medium Importance |
| C | 90 - 100% | Low Importance |
Traditional Applied ABC (5 Tiers)
| Rank | Cumulative % | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| A1 | 0 - 50% | Highest Priority (~Top 5% SKUs) |
| A2 | 50 - 70% | High Priority (~Next 15% SKUs) |
| B | 70 - 85% | Medium Priority (~30% SKUs) |
| C | 85 - 95% | Low Priority (~30% SKUs) |
| D | 95 - 100% | Lowest Priority (~20% SKUs) |

🎖️ Rank Definitions & Operational Policies
| Rank | Cumulative % | Share % | Operational Focus & Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | 0 - 50% | ~5% | Top Core Tier: Intensive management, automated slotting, front pick-line placement. |
| A2 | 50 - 70% | ~15% | High Tier: Fast-moving pick locations, maintained safety stock. |
| B | 70 - 85% | ~30% | Medium Tier: Standard rack storage, balanced slotting. |
| C | 85 - 95% | ~30% | Low Tier: Cost-prioritized storage, rear aisle placement. |
