Shipping Data Ingestion & Unit Categorization Tab

This primary interface controls shipping data ingestion into Access DB and executes Data Processing Phase 1 (unit conversion, category determination, and preliminary summaries).

1 Module Purpose

This screen executes the following primary functions:

Imports ShippingData.xlsx into the Microsoft Access database.
Executes conversions for cases, pieces, volumes, and weights.
Determines shipping unit formats (Case, Piece, or Mixed).
Generates daily, customer, and SKU level summary tables.
Displays preliminary summary data grids.
Renders case vs piece shipping category views.

2 Interface Layout

Header Section: Core Metadata

Copyright & License Label
Displays company name, license key, and software expiration status.

Directory Path Box
Displays the active working directory folder path.

Center Control Section: Processing Triggers

Allow Table Deletion Checkbox
Enables permission to purge existing Access database tables prior to re-processing.

Batch Processing 1 Button
Executes end-to-end data ingestion, conversion, and summary generation.

Progress Indicator Box
Displays current code execution status and next recommended user actions.

Processing Checkbox Indicators

Tables Deleted Indicator - Confirms prior tables purged successfully.

Data Imported Indicator - Confirms Excel transaction import completed.

Conversion Complete Indicator - Confirms unit conversion calculations finished.

Categories Defined Indicator - Confirms case/piece unit classification done.

Summary Created Indicator - Confirms preliminary summary tables generated.

Classification Complete Indicator - Confirms case/piece category split done.

4 Operating Procedures

Initial Processing Workflow

Step 1: Preparation Verification

Verify ShippingData.xlsx exists in the active folder.
Verify TeraCalculation.accdb exists in the folder.
Launch the module form.

Step 2: Startup State Check

If table T110_CategoryConversion is absent: Displays Processed.
If table T110_CategoryConversion exists: Displays Unprocessed and prompts user to click "Batch Processing 1".

Step 3: Executing Batch Processing 1

Verify "Allow Table Deletion" is checked.
Click "Batch Processing 1" button.
Processing starts; check indicators light up sequentially.
Monitor progress in the progress box.
Wait for the completion confirmation message.

5 Precautions & Troubleshooting

⚠️ Warning: Checking "Allow Table Deletion" purges all existing Access tables. Do not open TeraCalculation.accdb in Microsoft Access during execution.

Q1. How long does batch processing take?
A. Processing speed depends on record counts. 10,000 records require ~30–60 seconds; 100,000 records require ~5–10 minutes.
