Based on reference materials, this section explains the role and processing workflow of "Tera Calculation 0", the primary stage of shipping data analysis.
Role of Tera Calculation 0
Tera Calculation 0 is software designed to organize and process raw shipping data into an easily manageable format prior to distribution center scale calculations (Tera Calculation 1 and 2). At this stage, frequently calculated common data is created in advance and maintained as the "T200" table in Microsoft Access.
4 Steps of Data Processing
Specifically, shipping data is processed according to the following procedure:
- Separation of Shipping Formats: Divides shipping data into "Case Shipping" and "Piece Shipping".
- Unit Conversion: Batch-converts raw piece-quantity data into essential logistics design units: "Case Count", "Pallet (PL) Count", "Volume", and "Weight".
- Rank Assignment: Summarizes data per destination and per item (sku), assigning "Destination Rank" and "Item Rank" according to their respective fluidities.
- Generation of "T200" Table: Consolidates all the above information to complete the core master data table required for analysis.
